*EDIT* – Video has been taken down for “copyright” purposes, by a streamer featured in the clips? Which makes this even more juicy, but I’m just sad that I can’t watch (and laugh at) the video anymore!
I am not playing this game, but the video was shared on my Discord and I was laughing like crazy. Happy Weekend!
In the interest of fairness, I have to point out that a lot of that video is cherry picked for effect and that most of the streams I have been watching over the last few days do not have as many glitches.
On the other hand, that was the most entertainment and laughs I got from Fallout 76 than in 8+ hours of watching the larger streamers play through vast swathes of boring irradiated wilderness filled with nothing but robots, mutants, audiologs, naked open-mic players and the longest view-obscuring quest log on the right hand side of the screen known to man.
I caught the sequel to Cohh’s FOV ini fix live the other day, when he walked into his first suit of power armor and realized he forgot to tweak the UI scale of that too.
And I’m really glad I watched all the way to the end of the video around 18min, because I TOTALLY cracked up and rofl’ed for a while.
Yeah, I figured it was “best of alpha” footage but the cuts to Bethesda comments and hilarity of it all is what got me. I was laughing so much and haven’t any interest in the game at all.
Got it for free with Xbox 1X and yes the bugs are more entertaining then the real game. And still I would choose State of Decay over this game as at least the mobs move realistically and not like some 80’s arcade game. Juxtaposing the devs hype over the actual gameplay was telling as even non-bug gameplay does not match his next gen hype. Feels like another game built with the Skyrim/Fallout graphics engine that will take 100’s if hours of modders work to make playable.
